The Intell Art hotel Eindhoven, our home for this nite (view from our window)
Saturday 18 - Sunday 19 February 2017:
Our yearly celebration of P.'s sister Saskia's Bday in a restaurant near or in Eindhoven. This year we choose Wynwood, a trendy restaurant in a former Philips warehouse, which is located in Strijp-S in Eindhoven.
We loved the area and decided to revisit soon as it has many nice small creative shops, galleries, a food hall and many restaurants.
drinks: Aperol spritz at Usine after shopping
Restaurant Wynwood (they also have a cocktail bar area where they serve small bites) gives you a choice of a Surprise menu of 4,5 ... or 9 courses, all small plates and very tasty. We opted for the 6 course menu. P. selected a bottle of white wine (and later another one) to accompany the food. We loved it: the food, the combination of tastes, the creativity of the chef, the wines, the atmosphere, the surroundings and the service - all was very good.

On our way home we passed Maurick castle in Vught and decided to do a detour and visit. A great place with a Michelin star restaurant and rooms to stay (maybe next time?). We had tea in the brasserie which was served in wine glasses.
It was a lovely weekend, we enjoyed muchly!
