Wow we have a house of our own for 2 nights WITH access and a gorgeous view on the lake; we love it!

Canada 18: along the US border (Nelson to Osoyoos)

touring along the US border we saw many ranches

organic food market in Nelson (lot of ex hippies in Nelson)

Before driving to our next location we visited the market and shopping area in Nelson. We had arrived there the other night late so we didn't have a chance to look around properly. Very relaxing town with a 'European tough'

temp reached 36 today, however I was too late to shoot 

Too hot to go hiking: we took a swim in Christina lake, known for its warm water temp (23 C)

This evening we stay at B&B 'The Spare Room', the owners of this lovely tastefully decorated big house with a great view on the lake are Ed and Yvonne, who both are from Holland and have been living in Canada for many years. We didn't know they were Dutch so what a pleasant surprise. They invited us for a glass of white wine and we chatted for a long time.
