Greece / Kefalonia

October 2009 (yeah I know I am late with blogging this holiday....)

Greece revisited after many years. Being at Kefalonia reminded me of former trips ages ago to greek islands like Kos, Crete, Rhodos, Samos, Tinos & Mykonos.

Kefalonia is a rough island, quiet (not yet discovered by tourists), none really important archeological sites to visit, rough mountain area and has some very beautiful beaches. But most of all we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the super weather. We were soooo lucky as we had 25-27 degrees Celcius all week.

The day we arrived there were a few clouds and the day we left it rained cats and dogs. Wow we were really lucky.

The house we rented on Kefalonia was super. It was spacy (many rooms), a big fully equiped kitchen, a private pool and a super view overlooking the sea. Thanks Michiel for the tip ;-)
We had rented a 4x4 and used it to discover the island: many nice rough roads, hidden beaches and charming fishermans towns.

Some pictures, that illustrate this story:
