Obi and Udo - arrival at Sheraton hotel - 20 May 2017

bamboo trees and us

Saturday, 20 May 2017
Today, after two lovely days of leisure at the beach of hotel Prince in Nichinankaigan, we have to leave our lovely room with seaview which was our home for 3 nights and move on.

First we visited the historical city of Obi with the Samurai houses and had a real good strong coffee for a change.

Thursday 18 & Friday 19 May 2017: Hotel Prince beach, Nichinankaigan
Two days of leisure at the super beach of this lovely hotel. Great spacious room with seaview, good  food, but especially the beach/sea which was exclusively ours.

To the coast - 17 May 2017

Wednesday, 17 May 2017
Travelling from Ibusuki to Nichinan: taking the ferry to cross the Kagoshima bay, another lovely boat trip that lasted one hour, and then driving through endless unspoiled nature (green trees and plants everywhere you look). Later on the road went along the seashore, where we found a deserted large sandy beach, which we shared with 2 fishermen, who were a few hundred meters away.

Our home for the next 3 nights is the Prince Hotel in Nichinankaigan Nango. The hotel is situated at the beach and our spacious room has an astonishing seaview. We had an unexpected lovely dinner here this evening.

As in the previous hotels we visited the swimming pool here is also closed and won't open till July (grrr). We assume we are, with an elderly Japanese couple, the only guests. Season definitely didn't start yet.

Tomorrow we will have a holiday :-)
